Beach angels on Maenam...

We went to Maenam beach on Sunday at had a weird time... weird because this beach vendor with her jewelry didn't feel like working, so she came and sat with us... which I thought would be 5 minutes, but it ended up to be 2-3 hours!! She kept on asking me how come a Farang (foreigner) mother had Thai children, so I explained a bit about adoption... Then the second vendor came and she explained the whole thing to her as well... Thai people don't mind talking about you while you are right there, so funny!
Then another and another came and before I knew it I was surrounded by these beach vendors who were all taking about us!!
This became too much for me, so I decided to take a break and have some lunch at the restaurant right there at the beach, hoping that these vendors would leave us alone. Luckily they did...

I decided to give 'my friend' who was still sitting there at our towels to give her some lunch as well, so I ordered some fried rice to take away and gave it to her. I guess she got the hint and she thanked us and walked away....

What an unusual day, so I needed a massage, and while I was getting pampered the girls were playing besides me in the sand and became giddier and wilder, messing their hair up and being so giggly and wiggly I had to take a few snap shots!

I really like the way the pictures turned out, a bit dreamy and so spontaneous!
My sweet little beach angels!
How I love spending days like this with them, just us... the only one who was missing was daddy! But he arrived last night~YEAH!

Thailand; the land of sweet smiles and beautiful girls!

Wow! The girls are just growing up before our eyes and are so beautiful! That story about the vendors really made me laugh! Some people are interesting, aren't they???

Mireille,

I love these spontaneous photos of the girls hamming it up. Those are the kinds of photos Lily likes me to take of her!

I totally get the vendor thing. When we were picking up Lily in Thailand, this little old man used to meet us outside our hotel every day and ask us tons of questions. He was a lovely, dear fellow, who fawned all over Lily...AND he was hard to get rid of. Sometimes when were were walking around the shops in Bangkok, he'd tag along and keep on talking!

Funny, that you had a similar experience Wendy! It goes like this all the time! I smile most of the time and let it go... but sometimes they keep on asking so I tell them a little..
