What is better than a vacation pet? I tell you it is great! The girls made many friends on Samui, they played and played for hours with these pets below and the BEST part of it was, that I didn't need to take care of them!! Since they just visited the girls on a daily basis at our little house on the beach.... PURRFECT!
Meet Mitsie, the kitten from our neighbor. The girls loved her so much that they slept 1 night out on the deck just to be with her! On those chairs you see behind them, covered with a beach towel... at first I thought they were joking, and too afraid to go through with it, but NO they stayed all night with the cat, although the cat left them during the night!
This huge toad kept on coming back to our house, and the girls saw that as a sign to play with him over and over again!
And then this cute puppy that suddenly showed up at the house and never left anymore, it was a big hit with the girls. Many hours they played with him! But he liked biting and nibbling on our feet and legs and since the girls only wore bathing suits around the beach house, it got a bit old after a while all these scratches on their knees. But they found a way to approach him... with a beach towel wrapped around them :-)
And of course geckos all over the house, but this huge friend was on the window on the OUTSIDE and we were glad about it!! A huge tokay, who makes a distinct noise to attract the ladies. This one was the guard of our house, he was there every evening!

There are still so many stories to tell about our vacation on Samui, in Pattaya, Hua Hin and Bangkok!
Thailand is just the BEST!
Love, Mireille

Ok so the cat and dog, ya ya cute and all. The little toad cuter, but those lizards are AWESOME I would have loved to catch those, how cool!
How wonderful you're able to take the girls to Thailand! And yes, Thailand is a very special place, I know from spending a vacation there when we lived in Indonesia.
Great pix as always, and the gecko ones made me smile. I sure remember those critters! And they don't sound friendly.
What fun, summer pets, and yes, you don't have to take care of them! By the way, that puppy looks JUST LIKE our dog, Ginger, when she was a puppy!
ewwww dont think I could play with a toad!
We adopted a puppy like this one in Pakistan and took it back to South Africa! It is now a Port Elizabeth dog, loves the beach and even swim in the sea! And the BEST guard dog ever. In India I do not have a dog, and I really miss the company.
Wow, that is one big tokay! Love that the girls welcomed in all the animals. So sweet! That puppy was adorable! Sounds like such a memorable time for them!
