A peek into our world...

Here are some pictures of the place we are staying at Baan Laem Noi on Bang Por Beach, which is located on the northwest corner of Koh Samui, between Nathon and Maenam. The beach is four kilometers long and faces to the north with views of Koh Phangan.The waters are calm in this area of Koh Samui and the beach is very clean. Palm trees line the edge. There are shallow coral reefs nearby which provide excellent snorkeling. There is not much development in this area. Very limited accommodation, no tourist shopping or nightlife. Which is exactly how we like it!! We can visit the busier places easy since I have rented a car and just a circle around the island is only 52 km or 35 miles. So everything is relatively close by.

The pictures are a bit over exposed, I dropped my camera about 3 weeks ago and didn't think it was broken, but it seems more affected than I thought! :-(

Our house has 2 bedrooms, a full kitchen, 2 bathrooms and a huge deck. We have a communal pool with the other 6 houses, but only 2 are occupied at the moment. So very peaceful! In front of the pool is the beach, the girls love it since it is a bit rocky and so many small critters are there to find!

The garden is very lush and we have all over beautiful sculptures, it is just a small piece of paradise here! I think I can handle 6 weeks here easily!!















Next to our resort is a small authentic restaurant which is called Haad Bang Po and we are already their best friends :-) We eat here most of the evenings if we don't feel like going someplace else. We just walk a few hundred meters on the beach and we have the best seafood, salads and fried rice, our fresh young coconut juice just for less than $15, complete dinner for 3 people! You can't cook for that!

Life is bliss!!
